Answer: Only nineteen of seventy-five Roman emperors died of natural causes. Even for some of them, historians speculate they were actually assassinated. Some emperors died of old age, some of the diseases. Emperor Marcus Aurelius, Emperor Lucius Verus, and Emperor Claudius Gothicus died of the plague.
