The expression 21 - (2x + 3)2 + 4 (1 - 1) + z3 can be simplified into the form
mr Goodwill [35]

Answer:

A=z

B=-2

C=0

D=30

Step-by-step explanation:

First lets simply the equation

21 - (2x +3)2 + 4(1-1) + z^3

21 - (2x^2 + 9) + 4(0) + z ^3

21 - 2x^2 + 9 + z^3

- 2x^2 + z ^3 + 30

This means that:

A=z

B=-2

C=0

D=30

Tomas is making trail mix using granola and walnuts. He can spend a total of $12 on the ingredients. He buys 3 pounds of granola
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

Tomas added 6 to both sides of the equation instead of subtracting 6.

Step-by-step explanation:

Tomas is making trail mix using granola and walnuts. He can spend a total of $12 on the ingredients. He buys 3 pounds of granola that costs $2.00 per pound. The walnuts cost $6 per pound. He uses the equation 2x + 6y = 12 to represent the total cost, where x represents the number of pounds of granola and y represents the number of pounds of walnuts. He solves the equation for y, the number of pounds of walnuts he can buy.

Given:

2x + 6y = 12

where

x = number of pounds of granola y = number of pounds of walnuts

The correct solution to the problem

x = 3 pounds

2x + 6y = 12

2(3) + 6y = 12

6 + 6y = 12

Subtract 6 from both sides

6 + 6y - 6 = 12 - 6

6y = 6

Divide both sides by 6

y = 6/6

= 1

y = 1 pound

Tomas added 6 to both sides of the equation instead of subtracting 6.

Angle 1 and Angle 2 are supplementary. If m∠1=27° , what is m∠2 ?
nekit [7.7K]
Suppose m∠1 = x degree

m∠2 = 17 x degree

As angle 1 & 2 are supplementary angles so

m∠1 +m∠2 =180 degree...... eq 1
Substituting the values of angle 1 & 2 in eq 1, we get

x +17x =180
18x=180
x= 180/18 =10 degree
17 x= 170 degree
m∠1 = 10 degree m∠2 = 170 degree.
