An encyclopedia is a huge set of articles full of information about many, many subjects. The encyclopedia will not give you as much information as a textbook, but it gives a good basic overview of each subject so that you will have a place to start learning. The articles are in alphabetical order, and there is an index so that you can find each one. You can either use an actual encyclopedia in a library or at home, or you can use one of the online encyclopedia systems available.

Why was Germany annoyed by imperialism
Sedaia [141]

In the age of imperialism, Britain, Spain and France had gained a clear advantage with colonies in Africa and South America, and they had control of some of the more choice parts of those continents. These three countries' access to seas made it easier for them to set up and maintain colonies. Germany, however, was left to fight for the few territories remaining that had strategic or resource value.

This man largely took the blame for the government’s failure to end the Great Depression:
KATRIN_1 [288]
The correct answer is Herbert Hoover

He believed that the Great Depression would not become as severe as it did and implemented many dubious laws that actually made things even worse like introducing a new tariff system which was supposed to help but actually destroyed foreign trade for example. He was easily beaten by Roosevelt who promised the new deal.

In the early nineteenth century, why did the steps to industrialize take place in New England as opposed to the South?
diamong [38]

Agriculture in New England was not highly profitable.

New England's weather was too cool, the summers too short, the farms too little to create agriculture as profitable as within the South. Northern industry enlarged quickly consecutively the War of 1812. Industrial producing began in New England, wherever rich merchants designed water-powered textile mills on the rivers of the North-East.
