For most of my life, I did not understand what it meant to be a part of a team. I was training for the Chicago Marathon, and the

long miles were difficult to complete, so I joined a running club. The members’ enthusiasm for running made the miles easier. When the big day arrived, we got together and ran the first few miles as a group, but then we lost one another in the crowd. At mile 20, one of my teammates came up behind me, and we finished the race together. Sharing encouragement helped us to meet our goal of becoming marathoners. Teamwork works!
