Your sister starts a new business selling iced tea. She borrowed money from you for the initial supplies, which cost a total of

$15.75. She plans to charge $0.35 for each glass of iced tea.
If your sister sells 30 glasses of iced tea, which of the following statements would be true?

Question 3 options:

She will pay you back and have nothing left over.

She will pay you back all $15.75 and still have $1.75 left over.

She will make $10.50 and still owe you $5.25.

She will make $15 and still owe you $0.75.

Your sister is still selling iced tea (see question #3). Which equation represents how many glasses of lemonade x it will take for your brother to break even?

0.35x15.75=0

0.35x + 15.75 = 0

0.35x - 15.75 = 0

0.35 + x = 15.75

What is the least number glasses of iced tea that your sister has to sell to pay you back and make at least $10?

Answer:

Question 1 - she will make $10.50 and still owe you $5.25 because 0.35 x 30 = 10.25

question 2 - for this im not sure because the 2nd, 3rd and 4th wont work so it should be the first but I’m not sure what that equation is saying

question 3 - 29 glasses need to be sold

Paula Frye loaned $10,000 to her son's new business at 5% ordinary simple interest (360-day year). At the end of the loan period
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

The length of the loan period is 0.25 years , i.e 3 months

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The loan amount = $ 10,000

The rate of interest applied = 5 % at simple interest yearly

The Amount receive = $ 10 ,000 + 125 interest

So, The interest receive for the loan  = $ 125

Let the duration of loan period = T years

<u>From Simple Interest method</u>

Simple Interest = \dfrac{\textrm Principal\times \textrm rate\times \textrm Time}{100}

or, $ 125 = \dfrac{\textrm $ 10,000\times \textrm 5\times \textrm Time}{100}

or. 125 × 100 = 10,000 × 5 × T

or, T = \dfrac{125\times 100}{5\times 10,000}

or, T = \dfrac{12500}{50,000}

∴ T = 0.25

So, the time period of loan = 0.25 years = 3 months

Hence The length of the loan period is 0.25 years , i.e 3 months  Answer

Answer:

Parallel lines

Step-by-step explanation:

The standard form of equation of a straight line is expressed as:

y = MX+c

m is the slope

Given the equations

y = 7x – 2

On comparison;

m = 7 i.e the slope of the line is 7

For the line 14x – 2y = 3

First write in standard form

-2y = -14x +3

y = -14x/-2 + 3/-2

y = 7x- 3/2

Hence the slope is also 7

Since both equations have the same slope hence they are parallel lines(Parallel lines have the same slope)
