A sewing machine is a machine to used to sew fabric and materials together with thread. Sewing machines were invented during the first Industrial Revolution. They lower the amount of manual sewing work performed in clothing companies.

Their are 20 different types of sewing machines. If you are passionate about sewing, you may have a home sewing machine.There is 20 different types of sewing machines rather than just a usual home sewing machine. To name just eight there is Mechanical Treadle Sewing Machines, Electronic Mechanical Sewing Machines, Mini and Portable Machines, Computerized or Automated Machines, Embroidery Machines, Quilting Machines and a Overlocking or Serger Machines.

With all the mechines that there are you would need different parts too them. To name a few there are spool pin to holds a spool of thread.  Bobbin winder spindle to bobbin is placed here during winding. Bobbin winder stopper to  stops winding the bobbin when it reaches capacity. Stitch width dial to controls the width your stitch, it is used to create a zigzag stitch.  This is what makes a sewing machine a sewing machine.
