The rugosity of a coral reef results in increased water turbulence relative to adjacent sandy benthos
Dmitriy789 [7]

The rugosity of a coral reef results in increased water turbulence relative to adjacent sandy benthos True

What is coral reef?

An underwater environment known as a coral reef is characterized by corals that construct reefs. Coral polyp colonies are bound together by calcium carbonate to build reefs. Stony corals, whose polyps gather together, make up the majority of coral reefs.

Sea anemones and jellyfish are members of the animal phylum Cnidaria, and coral is a member of the class Anthozoa. Contrary to sea anemones, corals develop tough carbonate exoskeletons that serve as the coral's support and defense. The majority of reefs thrive in warm, shallow, clear, bright, and turbulent water. At the beginning of the Early Ordovician, 485 million years ago, b first emerged, replacing the microbial and sponge reefs of the Cambrian.

Shallow coral reefs make up some of the planet's most diversified ecosystems and are sometimes referred to as underwater rainforests.

How many people were include in the study population of neurodegenerative diseases
balandron [24]

Answer:

hope you like it

Explanation:

Neurodegenerative diseases result from the gradual and progressive loss of neural cells, leading to nervous system dysfunction. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, there are more than 600 neurologic disorders, with approximately 50 million Americans affected each year.

Includes Diseases: Progressive supranuclear palsy...

Because neurodegenerative diseases strike primarily in mid- to late-life, the incidence is expected to soar as the population ages. (By 2030, as many as 1 in 5 Americans will be over the age of 65.) If left unchecked 30 years from now, more than 12 million Americans will suffer from neurodegenerative diseases.

How does chemical weathering differ from mechanical wheathering
Nat2105 [25]
Mechanical weathering is the physical breakdown of rock into smaller pieces. Mechanical weathering breaks rocks down into smaller pieces. This gives the rock a larger surface area for chemical reactions to take place. Chemical weathering is the breakdown of rock by chemical processes.
