Answer:(updated)

2.4%

Step-by-step explanation:

$2.90-$2.83=$.07

.07/2.9=0.024137931(round to nearest ten<u>th</u>)=2.4%

or you can do 0.024137931*100 and get the same answer

Draw the line passing through the point (3,-4) with a slope of 2/3
AleksAgata [21]
You just find the coordinate point. then, use your slope 2/3 (up 2, right 3) :)

EX: if your slope was negative, you’d do the same thing, but opposite -2/-3 (down 2, left 3)

hopefully this helps, good luck with math!! <3

(ps sorry if the drawing bothers you, but I wanted to show you as best as I could on how to solve your question :) )

Tina sends 12 text messages each day in June. A mobile phone company offers two packages. Package A: The first 100 texts each mo
Mnenie [13.5K]

Two options are given to Tina. We find how much she pays for each option, and the one in which she pays less offers the better value.

Tina sends 12 text messages each day in June

June has 30 days, so in June, Tina sent 12*30 = 360 text messages.

Package A:

First 100 messages cost 3p, the next 100 cost $2 and after that each costs $1.

She sends 360 messages, with:

The first 100 costing 3p.

The next 100 costing 2p.

The final 360 - 200 = 160 costing 1p.

She pays:

100*3 + 100*2 + 160*1 = 660

Package B:

2p for each message, 360 messages, so:

360*2p = 720p.

Which package is better?

Package A costs less, thus, it offers her the better value for money in 30 days.

Another example of a problem in which a person has to choose between two packages is given in brainly.com/question/10693932

One troop member So tickets for 33 crab meals and 20 vegetarian meals with a total receipt of $2025 another sold tickets for 30
natima [27]

Answer:

Therefore the cost of a crab meal and a vegetarian are $40.41 and $1.94 respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,tickets for 33 crab meals and 20 vegetarian meal with total receipt of $2025. Another sold ticket for 30 crab meal and 11 vegetarian meals with total receipt of $1827.

Let the cost of a crab meal and a vegetarian meal be x and y respectively.

The cost of a crab meal is x

The cost of 33 crab meal is $33x

The cost of 30 crab meal is $30x

The cost of a vegetarian meal is y.

The cost of 20 vegetarian meal is $20y.

The cost of 11 vegetarian meal is $11y

According to problem,

33x+20y=2025

33x+20y-2025=0........(1)

        and

30x+11y=1827

30x+11y-1827=0 ..........(2)

Cross Multiplication Method,

a_1x+b_1y+c_1=0

a_2x+b_2y+c_2=0

\frac{x}{b_1c_2-b_2c_2}=\frac{y}{a_2c_1-a_1c_2}=\frac{1}{a_1b_2-a_2b_1}

{x}=\frac{b_1c_2-b_2c_2}{a_1b_2-a_2b_1}

{y}=\frac{a_2c_1-a_1c_2}{a_1b_2-a_2b_1}

Here a_1=33,b_1=20,c_1=-2025, a_2=30,b_2=11,c_2=-1827

\therefore x=\frac{20.(-1827)-11.(-2025)}{33.11-30.20}                   y=\frac{30.(-2025)-33.(-1827)}{33.11-30.20}

     \approx 40.41                                              \approx 1.94

Therefore the cost of a crab meal and a vegetarian are $40.41 and $1.94 respectively.

A man drove to work at an average rate of speed 60 miles per hour and
expeople1 [14]

let x = miles

we have x miles/ 60mph plus x miles / 40 mph = 1 hour

x/60 + x/40 = 1

 we need to calculate 2x for the round trip

calculate common denominator and rewrite the 2 fractions:

2x/120 + 3x/120 = 1

5x= 120

x = 120/5 = 24 miles

24*2 = 48 miles total

 check:

 1 way would be 48/2 = 24 miles

24/60 = 0.4 hours to drive 24 miles at 60 mph

24/40 = 0.6 hours to drive 24 miles at 40 mph

0.6 +0.4 = 1 hour

PLEASE HELP FAST ILL MARK YOU BRAINLYEST
Alborosie

Answer:

look at explanation (I go down the first column of scenarios and then move on to the right column)

Step-by-step explanation:

1) The first one will be same as original because the decrease and increase are the same, and happen right after each other so you get the same amount

2) Second one you get greater than original. You're doubling the initial value, and then decreasing by a smaller percentage, so you still get greater than your initial value

3) Third you get greater than original. You're adding 50% of the initial value, and decreasing by 33.5% of the new value, which will still give you more than the original

4) Fourth, you get greater than original. You're adding 60% of the initial value, and then decreasing by 40% of the new value, which will still give you greater than the initial value

5) Fifth you get less than the original. You're decreasing by 75%, and then adding 50% of the new value, which still gives you less than the initial value
