Hello!

Answer:

There are both advantages and disadvantages to being labeled as a child with special needs.

Advantages:

Individualized Education Program

An obvious pro of labeling a child who has special needs in the classroom is that teachers can use this information to help the child learn using their limitations as a guide.

Extra Learning Support

By labeling a child, they will receive extra services that they may not have been able to receive otherwise. For example, the child may be able to receive instruction in a learning support room at a pace that works for them.

Targeted Instruction

Kivi says that by labeling the child as «learning disabled» these students are able to get help in order to remediate their specific problem.

Disadvantages:

Low Self-Esteem for the Student

There are many laws in place that protect the rights of students with disabilities including access to services and helping to ensure these students are not discriminated against. These students may feel that they cannot do well in school or are not smart.

Lower Expectations from Parents & Teachers

Basically, if the teachers and parents don’t believe in the child, then the child won’t believe in himself either. «Lower expectations sets up the student for failure,» Newsome says.

Peer Issues

Fellow students can be mean and make fun of the student with special needs because they are different. Parents are considered to be full and equal members of the IEP team, along with school personnel. Because parents have inside knowledge of their child’s strengths and needs, they are crucial members of the team. «Parents have the right to be involved in meetings that discuss the identification, evaluation, IEP development and educational placement of their children,» says Newsome.

What it means to be a patroit. 10 sentence
gavmur [86]

Answer:

The word patriot signifies a person who loves his or her country and is ready to boldly support and defend it. That meaning has endured since the word's arrival in English in the 16th century, but it has not marched through the years unchallenged.

Ultimately derived from Greek patrios, meaning "of one’s father," patriot entered English via French patriote—meaning "fellow countryman" or "compatriot"—during a time of political unrest in western Europe that was characterized by infighting among fellow countrymen—especially among those of the Protestant and Catholic faiths. For much of the 17th century, words like good were attached to patriot to distinguish patriots who shared both a love of country and a common allegiance from those having opposing beliefs and loyalties: to be deemed a "good patriot" was to be a lover of country who agreed on political and/or religious matters with whoever was doing the deeming.

Which evaluation of A Vindication of the Rights of Woman makes an accurate conclusion about Wollstonecraft’s beliefs and correct
arlik [135]
In my opinion, the correct answer is A. Wollstonecraft writes, “Such deeply rooted prejudices have clouded reason.” This supports the idea that she believes people must overcome existing prejudices to reason correctly. Wollstonecraft never accuses men of being collectively malicious toward women. She always accentuates reason as the main criterium for her theses - precisely because men have historically claimed reason as their main feature, while reducing women to emotional beings.
