Mix a thick, nutrient-rich compost into your soil to a depth of about 10 to 12 inches. Use a tiller or shovel for the task. Compost adds several macronutrients and micronutrients to soil, along with several trace minerals. It also can aid in making certain trace minerals more available to plants.

-How do you think andioxidants can help cells perform their functions? -Why do plants have more antioxidants than humans? -Do yo
Vsevolod [243]

Answer:

Antioxidants help cells perform their functions against something called free radicals. Free radicals are molecules that happen to be produced when your body breaks down food and/or when you inhale or are exposed to tobacco products. These molecules play a role in leading to diseases such as; Heart disease and cancer. When plants synthesize, they collect many non-enzymatic Antioxidants like ascorbic acid and phenolic. Since plants have many more sites of ROS generation, Therefore, they could evolve more efficient non-enzymatic Antioxidant systems than humans because of their high intake and exposure to oxygen. (answer yourself about the structure in your own words using the information I gave you). Diet relates to both the function, structure and health of your cells. Having a balanced diet helps your cells to happily work and produce energy for your daily use. A balanced diet supplies your body with nutrients so it can work effectively. Without balanced nutrition, your body is way more prone to disease, fatigue, low performance and infections.

I hope this helped you!

In an ecosystem, energy from the Sun is transferred by way of _____.
Lorico [155]

Answer: food chains or webs

In an ecosystem, energy from the sun is transferred by the way of food chains or webs. A food chain is a linear sequence of organisms through which food and energy is passed as one organism eats the another. A food web is the interconnection or relation of food chains. In a food chain energy is distributed among the trophic levels. Plants are primary producers which traps energy from sun for photosynthesis and belong to first trophic level in the food chain. The energy of sun present in plants is transferred to subsequent higher trophic levels when plants are consumed by other organisms.

What energy carriers can enter the electron transport chain in mitochondria to generate ATP?
ElenaW [278]

Answer: The electron transport chain consists of complexes which are the proton pump for the hydrogen ions across the mitochondrial membrane which allows the synthesis of the ATP (energy currency).

Explanation:

The electron transport chain occurs in the mitochondria. ATP synthase present in the inner mitochondrial membrane is a carrier of electron. FADH2 AND NADH two molecules supply high energy electrons from the citric acid cycle from the electron transport chain at complex I (NADH coenzyme Q reductase) and II (succinate dehydrogenase)respectively.
