Answer:

No 2/3 is not greater than 5/7

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the greater number see below.

First, we need to find the LCM of denominators(3 and 7)

= LCM of 3 and 7 = 21

= 2 × 7 = 14, 3 × 7 = 21

= 5 × 3 = 15, 7 × 3 = 21

Now, we can easily identify that which number is larger.

2/3 is equal to 14/21, and 5/7 is equal to 15/21.

So, here 14/21 is not greater than 15/21.

So, 2/3 is not equal to 5/7.

What is... X/2 - 13 = 1
kow [346]
X ÷ 2 - 13 = 1
Write the division as a fraction
\frac{1}{2}x - 13 = 1
Multiple both sides of the equation by 2
2 \times  \frac{1}{2}x  \times  - 2 \times 13 = 12
Reduce the number with greatest common divisor 2
x - 2 \times 3 = 2
Multiply the numbers
- 2 \times 13
Then u will have
x - 26 = 2
Move constant to the right by adding its opposite sides
x - 26 + 26 = 2 + 26
Eliminate the opposites
- 26 + 26
Then you have
x = 2 + 26
Add the numbers
x = 28

Use the graph below to determine a1 and d for the sequence. graphed sequence showing point 1, negative 10, point 2, negative 7,
Sonja [21]

Answer:

a_1=-10

d=3

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

In an <u><em>Arithmetic Sequence</em></u> the difference between one term and the next is a constant, and this constant is called the common difference (d)

In this problem we have the ordered pairs

(1,-10),(2,-7),(3,-4),(4,-1),(5,2),(6,5)

Let

a_1=-10\\a_2=-7\\a_3=-4\\a_4=-1\\a_5=2\\a_6=5

Find the difference between one term and the next

a_2-a_1=-7-(-10)=3

a_3-a_2=-4-(-7)=3

a_4-a_3=-1-(-4)=3

a_5-a_4=2-(-1)=3

a_6-a_5=5-2=3

The difference between one term and the next is a constant

This constant is the common difference

so

The sequence graphed is an Arithmetic Sequence

therefore

The first term is a_1=-10

The common difference is equal to d=3
