The unknown angle would be 70.

Use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve this.

a2 + b2 = c2

Angle B plus Angle C equals 110.

180-110= 70.

A metal rod 9.4 meters long is cut into two pieces. One piece is three times as long as the other. Find the length of the longer
tresset_1 [31]
2a + b = 9.4

There are 3 parts, 2 go to Rod A, 1 go to Rod B.

9.4 / 3 = 3.13333 recurring

Rod A = 2(3.13)
= 6.26

Rod B =
3.13

Rounding, Rod A = 6.3 , Rod B = 3.1

Please help! I’m confused (both questions, 24 & 25) I need to find all of the letters shown and show my work.
svlad2 [7]

Problem 24

<h3>Answer: w = 120</h3>

-----------------

Work Shown:

We have an isosceles triangle. The angles opposite the congruent sides are congruent. These are the base angles each 30 degrees. The missing angle is w. The three angles add to 180

(angle1)+(angle2)+(angle3) = 180

30+30+w = 180

60+w = 180

60+w-60 = 180-60 ... subtract 60 from both sides

w = 120

======================================================

Problem 25

<h3>Answers:</h3><h3>x = 6.5</h3><h3>y = 5</h3>

-----------------

Work Shown:

The angle marks are all the same, so the three angles are congruent to one another. We consider this an equiangular triangle. Any equiangular triangle is also equilateral, meaning all three sides are the same length.

So,

2x-5 = 8

2x-5+5 = 8+5 ... add 5 to both sides

2x = 13

2x/2 = 13/2 ... divide both sides by 2

x = 6.5

and also,

y+3 = 8

y+3-3 = 8-3 ... subtract 3 from both sides

y = 5

I don’t get the problem and I’ve been trying to solve it
Black_prince [1.1K]
I'm gonna use c for circle, t for triangle, and s for square
c+t+s=13
t+s=8
c+8=13
c=5
c+t=7
t=2
s=6

circle is 5, triangle is 2, and square is 6

What is the equation of the line
olga2289 [7]

Answer:

It's the first choice y = (-5/2)x - 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

First find the slope of the line  5x + 2y = 12 by converting to slope-intercept form.

5x + 2y = 12

2y = -5x + 12

y = (-5/2)x + 6   so the slope is (-5/2).

The line we require had also a slope of -5/2 because it is parallel to the first line and it also passes through the point (-2, 4). So:

y - 4 = (-5/2)(x - -2)      (the point-slope form)

y - 4 = (-5/2)(x + 2)

y = (-5/2)x - 5 + 4

y = (-5/2)x - 1  (answer)
