My answer would that some people choose that they prefer their way of life or they have simply never heard of the more modern life we live. I don't necessarily see it as bad, especially since most choose this decision to stay out of contact with the outside world. I think that it is bad that some people can't respect their decision but the least we can do it respect their way of life.
