-  \frac{5}{8}  - ( -  \frac{4}{3} ) \\  \\   - \frac{5}{8}  +  \frac{4}{3}  \\  \\   - \frac{15}{24}  +  \frac{32}{24}  \\  \\  \frac{ - 15 + 32}{24}   \\  \\ =  \frac{17}{24}    = 0.7083

Answer:

-5/8 - (-4/3)

*two negatives will be a positive so your adding*

-5/8 + 4/3

*Find a common denominator which is 24*

-15/24 + 32/24

*Flip it around since the second fraction is greater and you can easily subtract that way instead*

32/24 - 15/24 = 17/24
