Answer:

4.5

Step-by-step explanation:

First, order all the numbers from least to greatest...

3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7, 8...

The median is the number that is in the middle of the data set. The numbers in the middle are 4, 5...

Since we have 2 numbers, we have to find the mean of those 2 numbers.

First, add 4 + 5 and get 9.

Divide it by 2 because there are 2 numjbers.

9 / 2 = 4.5

Therefore, 4.5 would be your answer.

Hello there,

I hope so far you and your family are staying safe and healthy.

A) No, the events winning and playing are not independent of each other.

Why? Because as you can see, the probability of winning at home doesn't equal the probability of winning away.

B) No, the events losing and playing away are not independent either.

Why? Because of the same reason above. Their probabilities aren't equal.

Please let me know if you have questions about the answer. Best of luck with the rest of the semester!

A vertical pole 6 feet long casts a shadow 55 inches long. Find the angle of elevation of the sun. Draw a diagram and find the a
ivolga24 [154]

A vertical pole(AB) 6 feet long casts a shadow(CB) 55 inches long as shown in the attached image. Since the angle of elevation of sun is \angle C. We hav to find the value of \angle C.

Firstly, we will change the dimensions of pole(in feet) to the dimension of shadow( in inches) . So, that the dimensions of pole and shadow are same.

Since, 1 feet = 12 inches.

6 feet = 6 \times 12 = 72 inches.

Now, let us consider the triangle ABC in the attached image,

We have to find \angle C

tan\Theta =\frac{Perpendicular}{base}

\tan C= \frac{AB}{BC}= \frac{72}{55}

= 1.309

= 52.6^{\circ} = 53^{\circ}
