In 1750-1900 countries were going through periods of rapid industrialization because of the industrial revolution. this industrialization brought on mass production of weaponry and goods which lead countries to participate in an arms race against one another to see who has the superior weapons, machinery, and resources. this constant competition echoed out culturally and socially too, hence the origin of nationalism.

If an article is biased it shows
Orlov [11]

Answer:

If an article is biased it shows its author's opinion on the topic they're writing about.

Explanation:

A bias can be defined as a tendency, inclination, feeling, or opinion, especially one that is not based on facts. We usually use this word in a negative context, when we want to say that someone is prejudiced against a certain person or group of people. For example, racial and gender biases are common occurrences even today.

If an article is biased, it reveals its author's opinion on the topic they're writing about. When we're writing an article, we should try to be as objective as possible. This means that we shouldn't let our beliefs, feelings, opinions, or assumptions influence the way we write. However, many don't succeed in this, which is why we can easily run into biased articles.

Do you think that the media plays a role in confirmation bias? Why or why not?
gregori [183]

Answer:

Yes, because although we like to imagine that our beliefs are rational, logical, and objective, the fact is that our ideas are often based on paying attention to the information that upholds our ideas and ignoring the information that challenges our existing beliefs.
