Help me please with math

Mathematics
1 answer:
Mashcka [7]3 years ago
5 0

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the pythogoras rule says that

{h}^{2}  =  {p}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}

<h3> In the first diagram,</h3>

The Hypotenuse is already provided so we can find the answer easily :)

<h2>Let's solve!!</h2>

1) Let the unknown length(i.e. the base ) be x² yd.

<h3>According to the question</h3>

{h}^{2}  =  {p }^{2}  +  {b}^{2}

{15}^{2}  =  {12}^{2}  +   {x}^{2}

225 = 144 +  {x}^{2}

=  {x}^{2}  = 225 - 144

=  > {x}^{2}  = 81

=  > x =  \sqrt{81}  = 9

Hence the base of the first figure is 9 yd.

Let's solve this as well!!

2) Let the hypotenuse be x.

{h}^{2}  =  {b}^{2}  +  {h}^{2}

{x}^{2}  =  {2}^{2}  +  {5}^{2}

=  {x}^{2}  = 4 + 25

=  {x}^{2}  = 29

= x =  \sqrt{29}

x = 5.3851648071345

<h3>So therefore the unknown side is 5.3851648071345 in</h3>

Hope it helps you!!

Compare the triangles and determine whether they be proven congruent, if possible, by SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, or HL. Write your answ
Goshia [24]
<h3>Answer:   SSS</h3>

========================================================

Explanation:

The sides shown by the single tickmark are the same length. That's one "S" of "SSS".

The sides shown with double tickmarks are the same length. This is another "S" of "SSS".

Lastly, the third unmarked sides of each triangle overlap together perfectly. We consider this a shared side. They are the same length due to the reflexive property. This is the third "S" of "SSS".

The order of the "S" terms mentioned above doesn't matter. All that matters is that we have three pairs of congruent sides. This is enough to use the SSS congruence theorem to prove the two triangles are congruent.

--------------

Extra info:

We don't have any information about the angles, so we cannot use ASA, SAS, or AAS.

We can't use HL because that only applies to right triangles.

How many solutions are there for the equation y = x + 2?
defon

Answer:

Infinite solutions.

Step-by-step explanation:

If we let x = 1 then y = 3, or if x = 3 y = 5   and so on.

We can  substitute any number of values of x and find the corresponding value of y so there are infinite solutions.

What is the interest rate if the amount borrowed is $11,000 for 6 years and the interest paid is $1800?
Angelina_Jolie [31]
The formula for simple interest is ...
I = Prt
1800 = 11000*r*6
1800/66000 = r = 0.02727... (repeating 27)

The simple interest rate is approximately 2.73%.
