Describe some of the factors to consider when deciding whether or not to care for a relative with dementia. At what point should the relative consider a professional care situation such as assisted living or a nursing home’s dementia care center? Think about such considerations as respect for the dignity of the person with dementia as well as positive social interactions with caregivers and others when forming your answer.
