The right answer is Pyruvate is split, citric acid is formed, coenzyme A is added

*Decarboxylation of pyruvate, is the reaction catalyzed by pyruvate dehydrogenase complex linking glycolysis to the Krebs cycle by converting pyruvate to acetyl-CoA.

*Citrate synthase condenses oxaloacetate and acetyl-CoA into citrate with release of coenzyme A. A transient intermediate, citroyl-CoA, is formed. The thioester linkage of acetyl-CoA is a high-potential hydrolysis bond. The coupling of the hydrolase and synthase activities makes the synthesis reaction thermodynamically possible.

*In the oxidative decarboxylation of α-ketoglutarate, the α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase complex catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of α-ketoglutarate to succinyl-CoA with production of NADH + H + and evolution of CO2. It is a reaction similar to that converting pyruvate to acetyl-CoA catalyzed by the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex.

Which two processes that occur during the formation of gametes contribute to increasing diversity within a populations gene pool
yanalaym [24]

Answer:

1) Crossing over

2) Independent assortment.

Explanation:

Gametes are formed resulting from the process of meiosis where the gametes get half of the original number of chromosomes. One phenomenon that happens during the prophase 1 of Meiosis and leads to the genetic diversification is crossing over. In this process , Here, homologous chromosomes pair up and exchange information present on genes from one another. When information is exchanged, it leads to the diversity of genetic data.

The second way of increasing genetic diversity is independent assortment that takes place during metaphase 1. In this process chromosomes from both father and mother cells align on equatorial plate of the cell in an independent manner. This means that some gamete can have 1 of many different chromosomal combinations.

This reshuffling of chromosomes during independent assortment enhances the genetic diversity of any organism and this also explains why kids of same parents can look or behave very different.

Hope it help!

The pounding of the heart is caused by the shock or the stress conditions observed with the fast beating of the heart. In the given question, When the heart pounds after seeing the rattlesnake will be considered response caused by the emotional memory as the rattlesnake is dangerous to humans based on the past experiences which evoke the emotional response.
