Before administering a medication, the nurse should inject how much purified or sterile water into the tube?
Elodia [21]

Before administering a medication, the nurse should inject at least 15-30 mL purified or sterile water into the tube.

What is administratration of medication ?

Providing a patient a medication or other form of treatment is known as dosing in medicine. It may also apply to the dosage, administration method, or frequency.

Drug absorption depends on the drug’s solubility and ability to permeate the intestinal mucosa. The distal end of the feeding tube can be in the stomach, duodenum, or jejunum. Many drugs must be administered into the stomach or duodenum so that they can be properly dissolved by gastric juices, bile, and pancreatic enzymes and can be fully absorbed through the intestines. Thus, drugs like warfarin (which is absorbed high up in the small bowel) and oral iron (which is dissolved in the stomach and absorbed in the duodenum) might not be properly absorbed if they are administered via a jejunostomy tube.

A minimum of 15 to 30 mL of purified or sterile water should be injected into the tube by the nurse before delivering any medications.

dalvyx [7]

Does treatment (non-operative and operative) improve the two-year quality of life in patients with adult symptomatic lumbar scoliosis: a prospective multicenter evidence-based medicine study it would appear from this study that common nonoperative treatments do not change the QOL in patients with ASLS at 2-year follow-up

What is symptomatic lumbar?

Back discomfort from discogenic causes, such as symptomatic lumbar degenerative disk degeneration, is challenging to treat. Transverse low back discomfort that travels into the sacroiliac joints is a common complaint among patients. In most cases, there are no radicular or claudicatory signs unless there is concurrent nerve compression. Findings from physical exams are frequently uneventful. Magnetic resonance imaging is beneficial for showing disk hydration, annular bulging, or lumbar spine end-plate (Modic) alterations in the neighboring vertebral bodies. Radiographic examination may reveal disk space narrowing, end-plate sclerosis, or vacuum phenomenon in the disk. Diskography as a confirmatory study continues to be debatable.

Should I double mask?
Mekhanik [1.2K]

Answer:

In my opinion, if you feel that using a double mask will make you feel safer, then you should use it, but using a mask is important. Now, if you are already fully vaccinated I don't think you should use a mask unless you want to, which is totally fine.
