Anthropologists use tables to estimate people´s height according to their bones' length, sex, and race. This female was about 5 ft, 7.96 in in height.

--------------------------------------------

Anthropologists use different tables to estimate the potential height of a person, according to sex and race.

These calculations are done using the length of particular bones, such as the femur, tibial, fibula, ulna, humerus, and radius.

These tables guide you in how to perform these calculations.

In the case of a female with African ancestors, and whose femur length is known, the equation to get her height is as follows:

                          h(x) = 2.28(x) + 59.76 cm ± 3.41

x = femur length

h = height

In the exposed example, we know that the female's femur is 49.5 cm long.

So the height must be,

h₍₄₉.₅₎ = 2.28 (49.5 cm) + 59.76 cm ± 3.41 = 112,86 + 59.76 cm ± 3.41 = 172.62 ± 3.41 cm.

\\ hx = 2.28 (49.5 cm) + 59.76 cm +/- 3.41 = 112,86 + 59.76 cm +/-3.41 = 172.62 +/- 3.41 cm.

The woman was 172.62 +/- 3.41 cm in height.

Now, we need to convert this result into feet and inches units.

We konw that,

  • 1 feet = 12 inches = 30.48 cm
  • 1 cm = 0,393701 inches = 0,0328084 feet
  • 1 inch = 0.083 feet = 2.54 cm

→ Female's height in feet

\\ 1 cm ------------------------- 0,03281 feet

\\ 172.62 cm -----------------X = 5.6636 feet

\\ 1 cm ------------------------- 0,03281 feet

\\ 3.41 cm----------------------X = 0.11188 feet

The woman was 5.6636 +/- 0.112 feet in height.

→ Female's height in inches

\\ 1 cm ------------------------- 0,3937 inches

\\ 172.62 cm -----------------X = 67.9605 inches

\\ 1 cm ------------------------- 0,3937 inches

\\ 3.41 cm----------------------X = 1.3425 inches

The woman was 67.9605 +/- 1.3425 inches in height.

→ Female's height in feet and inches

\\ 1 cm ------------------------- 0,03281 feet

\\ 172.62 cm -----------------X = 5.6636 feet

\\ 1 feet ---------------------- 12 inches

\\ 0.6636 feet -------------X = 7.9632 inches

\\ 1 cm ------------------------- 0,3937 inches

\\ 3.41 cm----------------------X = 1.34 inches

The woman was 5 feet, 7.96 inches +/- 1.34 inches in height.

A pharmacist is asked to compound 60 ml of an isotonic eye drop. drug x (a liquid with an e-value of 0.33) and sodium chloride w
Setler79 [48]

The correct answer is 500mg.

First convert the ratio strength to a percentage(0.2%).

Drug X accounts for 0.0396 g of NaCl.

It would require 0.54 g of NaCl if that was all we were using.

Lastly, 0.54 g - 0.0396 = ~ 0.5 g NaCl ( or 500 mg, rounded as per the instructions ).

What is the main difference between transcendent and actualizing values in the community nursing practice model (cnpm)?
ikadub [295]

The main difference between transcendent and actualizing values in the community nursing practice model (cnpm) is that transcedent values are the expectation of the community while actualizing values are those evolved mutually and practically.

Community nursing practice model (cnpm) is the framework provided for seamless integration of community nursing practices and A S-L and shift to transformational paradigm.

Transcendent and actualizing values in CNPM focuses on the individual or community for giving the nursing services guidelines.

Transcendent values are intermittent values, and are expected by the community while actualizing values are practical and mutual evolved between the community and the nursing situations.
