Your starting temperature was 29 degrees. it drops 5 degrees every hour. let the hours be X.

so, 29-5x would be the equation.

answer: 29-40 = -11. :)

explanation: multiply 5 times 8, because 9am to 4pm is 8 hours. this is 40. take your starting temp, 29 minus 40.

hope this helps

The price of meal at a restaurant is 200% more than the 100$, it was a couple of decades ago. What is the price now?
netineya [11]

Answer:

The price now is 300$.

Step-by-step explanation:

The problem is related to percentages.

It is provided that the price of meal at a restaurant a couple of decades (20 years) ago was 100$.

Now the price is 200% more than what it was 20 years ago,i.e. the price increased by 200%.

Compute the new price as follows:

New-Price=100\$+[100\$\times200\%]\\= 100\$+[100\times\frac{200}{100}]\$\\ =100\$+200\$\\=300\$

Thus, the price of the meal now is 300$.

I think of a number i multiple it by 5 i then subtract 19 finally i double the result the final number is 22 what number did i t
Delicious77 [7]

To solve this problem, you read the problem backwards and to the opposite of that function.

  • if it says double --> divide by 2        22 / 2 = 11
  • subtract by 19 --> add 19                   11 + 19 =30
  • multiply by 5 --> divide 5                   30 / 5 = 6

Thus the number that is thought of is 6

Hope that helps!

Please help!Your fixed expenses are $1,151.65/month. You saved 4 months' worth in an emergency fund, investing 25% in a savings
FinnZ [79.3K]
4 x 1,151.65 = 4,606.60
<span>This is invested in two accounts. Twenty-five percent is invested in savings (4,606.60 x 25% = 1,151.65). The remainder is invested in a CD (4,606.60 - 1,151.65 = 3,454.95) </span>

<span>Interest accrued for savings. *Note: The interest rates given are for a full year, but you want to calculate interest for only 60 days. </span>
<span>1,151.65 x 0.033 x 60/360 = $6.33 </span>
<span>Interest accrued for CD </span>
<span>3,454,95 x 0.043 x 60/360 = $24.76 </span>
<span>Total interest accrued </span>
<span>6.33 + 24.76 = $31.09 </span>

<span>Note: 0.033 and 0.043 = 3.3% and 4.3%. Also, the 360 day year is normally used when doing these types of problems.</span>

Select the correct answer.
Sati [7]
The answer would be A because if you combine all the like terms you will get A as a result.

-2x^2+8x-9+4x+7x^2+2
-2x^2+7x^2 combine both of these and it will get you 5x^2
And then you would do 8x+4x which would be 12x and lastly you would -9+2 which would be -7 so the answer is A.

Hope this helps!!
