Given : Kishore bought a basket containing 30 oranges for rs 310. If he sells the oranges at rs 12 each , what Would be it's profit or loss?

Solution :

Cost price of oranges = rs.310

As we know that each oranges cost rs.12

So, selling price of oranges is 30 × 12 = rs.360

Now, <u>finding profit or loss</u>

Profit = Selling Price - Cost Price

Profit = rs.360 - rs.310

Profit = rs.50

  • So, the profit is ₹50

F(x)=-x^2+3 find f(-2)
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

f(-2) = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = -x^2 + 3

f(-2) means when x is -2

Shown in the graph below, the point of solution is: (-2,-1), so when x is -2 y is -1

What are the measures of Angles a, b, and c? Show your work and explain your answers.
andreev551 [17]
Answers: ∠a = 30° ; ∠b = 60° ; ∠c = 105<span>°.
</span>_____________________________________________
1) The measure of Angle a is 30°. (m∠a = 30°).
Proof:  All vertical angles are congruent, and we are shown in the diagram that angle A — AND the angle labeled with the measurement of 30°— are vertical angles.

2) The measure of Angle b is 60°. (m∠b = 60<span>°).
Proof:  All three angles of a triangle add up to 90 degrees. In the diagram, we can examine the triangle formed by Angle A, Angle B, and a 90</span>° angle. This is a right triangle, and the angle with 90∠ degrees is indicated as such (with the "square" symbol).  So we know that one angle is 90°.  We also know that m∠a = 30°.  If there are three angles in a triangle, and all three angles must add up to 180°, and we know the measurements of two of the three angles, we can solve for the unknown measurement of the remaining angle, which in this case is: m∠b.
 90° + 30° + m∠b = 180<span>° ;
</span>180° - (<span>90° + 30°) = m∠b ;
</span>180° - (120°) = m∠b = 60<span>°
</span>___________________________
Now we need to solve for the measure of Angle c (<span>m∠c).
___________________________________________
All angles on a straight line (or straight "line segment") are called "supplementary angles" and  must add up to 180</span>°.  As shown, Angle c is on a "straight line".  The measurement of the remaining angle represented ("supplementary angle" to Angle c is 75° (shown on diagram).  As such, the measure of "Angle C" (m∠c) = m∠c = 180° - 75° = 105°.

Six stand-up comics, A, B, C, D, E, and F, are to perform on a single evening at a comedy club. The order of performance is
kiruha [24]

Answer:

a) 1/6

b) 1/36

c) 1/720

d) 1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Any of the six comics can perform in the fourth place, so there is one chance in six that Comic F is the one that performs fourth.

P(F=4th)=1/6

b) In this case, we have two conditions. Both are independent of each other, so the probability of both happening is the product of the probabilities of each happening individually:

P(D=4th \&B=2nd)=P(D=4th)\cdot P(B=2nd)=(1/6)\cdot(1/6)=1/36

c) This combination is one in all possible orders of perform. The amount of combinations of orders is n!=6!=720 possible combinations. So the probability of this specific order is:

P(F, D, B, A, C, E)=1/720

d) In this case, of the six possible comics performing in the last place, we calculate the probability of 2 of them being in that place. So the probability is:

P(C=6th\,or\, E=6th)=2/6=1/3
