I'm not sure if you meant to write 3x or x^{3} instead of x3 but I will work out both versions just in case

In the equation 3x + 4 plug 6 in for x

3(6) + 4

Multiply 3 and 6 first

18 + 4

Add 18 and 4

22

OR

In the equation x^{3} + 4 plug 6 in for x

6^{3} + 4

Solve the exponent

(6*6*6) + 4

216 + 4

Add the numbers together

220

Hope this helped!

enot [183]

Answer:

x = 1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

15 = 1/2 + 3/2x + 10

15 - 1/2 -10 = 3/2x

9/2 = 3/2x

9 x 2x = 3 x 2

18x = 6

x = 6/18

x = 1/3

The area of a square ice rink is 400 yd.². What is the perimeter of the rink in yards
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

80 yd^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the formula for squares is s^2, we can use this to set up an equation, which is

s^2=400

If we square root this, we get

s=20

The perimeter formula for a square is 4s, so if we plug in, we end up with 80 yd^2

Which of the following best defines an angle?
scoray [572]

Answer:

Third option

Step-by-step explanation:

The first definition is not as broad as it should be, therefore, while an angle does meet that criteria, it's not a general definition, hence, it is incorrect. The second one is incorrect as well because a parabola has a vertex, and it is certainly not an angle. This definition is not specific enough, so it will be eliminated. The last one is again, too specific. The third one is the best answer because it is broad enough while still being specific.
