Start with the point-slope form: y-y_1 = m(x-x_1).

Then you substitue in the slope and coordinates from the point:

    y-5 = 2(x-(-7))

You don't do a lot of clean up to the form, with the exception of turning "minus negative 7" into "plus 7".

    y-5 = 2(x+7)

Thar be yer answer!

A metallurgist has an alloy with 5% titanium and an alloy with 30% titanium. He needs 100 grams of an alloy with 15% titanium. H
andrey2020 [161]
Let us convert the percentages to decimal format first.. so 5% is just 5/100 or 0.05 and 15% is just 15/100 or 0.15

so hmmm, so, let's say it needs "x" amount and "y" amount of each respectively, so, whatever "x" and "y" are, they must add up to 100, and whatever their concentration is, must add up to what the mixture yields

thus

\bf \begin{array}{lccclll}
&amount&concentration&
\begin{array}{llll}
concentrated\\
amount
\end{array}\\
&-----&-------&-------\\
\textit{5\% alloy}&x&0.05&0.05x\\
\textit{30\% alloy}&y&0.30&0.3y\\
-----&-----&-------&-------\\
mixture&100&0.15&15
\end{array}
\\\\\\
\begin{cases}
x+y=100\implies \boxed{y}=100-x\\
0.05x+0.3y=15\\
----------\\
0.5x+0.3\left( \boxed{100-x} \right)=15
\end{cases}

solve for "x"

what's "y"? well, y = 100 - x

What is the mass of 2.5 moles of carbon dioxide?
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

110 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

CO2 molecule is made up of Carbon (atomic mass =12) and oxygen (atomic mass=16).

So first finding the mass of 1 molecule of CO2 which is equals to

= mass of 1 carbon atom + masses of 2 oxygen atom, we get

= 12+(16*2)= 12+32= 44 a.m.u.

Now 1 molecule of CO2 has mass 44 amu so mass of 1 mole CO2 will be 44 grams.( 1 a.m.u.=1.6729*10^-33 grams. 1 mole = 6.022*10^23, so 44 a.m.u.=73.6076*10^-33 grams approx. For one mole CO2, 73.6076*10^-33*6.022*10^23 which is approximately equals to 44 grams. )

1 mole CO2= 44grams, so 2.5 moles = 44*2.5= 110 grams

So our answer is 110 grams.

lowkey hope this helped you, good luck whatever you need it for Imaooo
