Read the excerpts from chapter 2 of Night. How do the excerpts differ in purpose?
maxonik [38]

Excerpts would differ if the idea that they communicate are different. An excerpt is an extraction from a larger body of text.

How do you identify the differences in an excerpt?

One way to spot the differences between excerpts is to pay attention to the purpose of the text as well as the idea that they communicate.

It is to be noted that the excerpts related to the question are unavailable hence the general answer.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
ASHA 777 [7]
The kind of man Creon is respectful but not afraid to make mistakes. What this reveals about his character is that he knows all men make mistakes but he knows that we all learn from our mistakes. He is telling men/people to do what they want but will eventually learn what is right. He is also saying that wise men will likely pick the right choice first but make mistakes that they will learn from also.

Which sentence is constructed so that the modifier clearly indicates that John works seven days a week?
denis23 [38]

Answer:

The sentence which is constructed so that the modifier clearly indicates that John works seven days a week is

Option B: John works even on weekends.

Explanation:

The correct sentence that shows that John works 7 days a week is Option B.

In Option A, the words "Even works" means that John will also perform many other chores other than working on weekends. This doesn't specifically mean that John has been working all days in a week. It means that he may or may not work but he had some other chores to do. Therefore, it is incorrect.

Option C says that ‘’Even John works on weekends’’ which means that there are people other than John, who also work on weekends. So, this is also incorrect. Thus, the correct answer is Option B.
