"Plot the cheetah’s point slightly above those of the

chimpanzee and dog, as indicated by the blue star to the right. They

should conclude that a cheetah is an endotherm because its position

on the graph is similar to those of the other endotherms."

same answer as the person above me :o..

Briefly describe other data you could collect to provide additional evidence for whether the cheetah is an: ectotherm or an endotherm:

"Student answers may vary. They may suggest measuring the internal body temperature of a cheetah in a range of external temperatures. If the body temperature of the cheetah stays relatively constant, this would provide more evidence that the cheetah is an endotherm."

You should plot the point slightly above those of the chimpanzee and dog, where the blue star is in the graph to the right. They should conclude that a cheetah is an endotherm because its placement on the graph is in trend with the endotherms, not the ectotherms

Members of the Deinococcus genus present an interesting conundrum to scientists who try to classify them as either gram-positive
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

Bacteria can be classified traditionally into two broad categories according to their cell wall, which are Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negitive bacteria.

Gram-positive bacteria are bacteria that produce a positive result when Gram stain test is performed. It takes up the crystal violet stain of the test, and then show a purple-coloured appearance when seen through an optical microscope. This is as a result of the thick "peptidoglycan" layer in the bacterial cell wall which retains the stain used in the cell after washing it away from the rest of the sample.

Gram-negative bacteria after the decolorization don't retain the violet stain, the outer membrane of gram-negative cells is degraded by the alcohol. The peptidoglycan layer is positioned and between the membrane and a bacterial outer membrane, causing them to take up the counterstain and made appear red or pink.

Therefore, Deinococcus is one genus of the bacterial phylum that have resistant to environmental hazards. They posses thick cell walls that give them Gram-positive stains, but they also posess second membrane that made them them closer in structure to Gram-negative bacteria, which present an interesting conundrum to scientists who try to classify them as either gram-positive or gram-negative.

Knowing the epidemiology and causative agent of Legionaries disease what questions would you ask of the victims or of their surv
ioda

Answer:

Answered below

Explanation:

Legionnaires disease is a type of lung inflammatory disease or pneumonia, which is caused by infection from the bacteria Legionella bacterium.

Legionella bacterium can be spread by inhalation from water or soil. People with weakened immune systems are most susceptible as are smokers. Untreated legionnaires disease can progress to a fatality.

Some of the questions to ask of a victim or of surviving relatives include;

1) Any visits to swimming pools?

2) Source of drinking water?

3)Any visits to fountains?

4) Contacts with victims and their personal belongings?

5)Is any relative or victim immunocompromised? Do they have diseases that might lower their immune response?

6) Are they smokers?
