When fish are caught faster than they can reproduce, the population will slowly dwindle down. Overhunting leads to a decline in the population of the fish until there are ultimately no more fish left to repopulate.
Another part gets unbalanced as well.
Like if flys went extinct, lizards would also go extinct because that's their food,
