Anyways, Germany was beginning to influence other powers to join their cause and the Axis Powers (Germany, Italy, Japan, etc...) were against the Western States ideas so it was definitely a time to fear them and their attacks during that time.
I can't say much for the Soviet Union/ USSR because while they were an ally they were also against some of the Western States Ideas as well....
