Part A

Let at-store service be x

Let on-site service be 3x

Let by-mail service be x - 10

Part B

15 services on-site

40 services at-store

5 services by-mail

Total sales = $2650

∴ 15(3x) + 40(x) + 5(x-10) = 2650

Simplify

15(3x) + 40(x) + 5(x-10) = 2650

45x + 40x + 5x - 50 =2650

90x = 2700

90x/90 = 2700/90

x = 30

Part C

Since x = 30 and services on-site = 3x we can now solve for on-site

on-site = 3x = 3(30) = 90

On-site 1 repair cost $90

What is the domain? I think it’s (-4,-3)
Olin [163]

Answer:

all real numbers

Step-by-step explanation:

As the graph goes up, it keeps going up and to the right. There is nothing telling us it will stop moving to the right at a certain point. It goes up much faster than it goes right, but it keeps going right and up forever. That makes the domain reach positive infinity. The same happens on the left side. As it goes down to the left, it keeps going left forever to negative infinity. That makes the domain all real numbers from negative infinity to positive infinity.

Domain: all real numbers

Lisa purchased almonds for $3.00 per pound and she spent $24.90. How many pounds of almonds did she purchase? The price went up
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

1. Lisa purchased almonds for $3.00 and spent $24.90.

The quantity of almonds bought is therefore:

= Total amount spent / Cost per pound

= 24.90 / 3

= 8.3 pounds

2. If the price goes up to $3.50 per pound and the maximum Lisa can spend is $25, the number of pounds she can get is:

= Maximum amount for almonds / Price per almonds

= 25 / 3.5

= 7.14 pounds
