Hi, can someone please give me a detailed explanation on how to solve this problem?
Dovator [93]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

log3^(2x+3) = log243

(2x+3)log3 = log243

2x+3 = log243/log3

2x = (log243/log3)-3

x = [(log243/log3)-3]/2

x = (5-3)/2

x = 2/2

x = 1

Check:

3^2(1)+3 = 243

3^2+3 = 243

3^5 = 243

3×3×3×3×3 = 243

9×9×3 = 243

81×3 = 243

243 = 243

Ms. Monroe mixes 200 cubes of 4 different colors for a project. She then uses a scoop to place 20 cubes into each of 10 paper ba
Scilla [17]

Answer:

The mean no. of red cubes is more than the median no. of red cubes.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question, we can prepare the following table denoting the no. of bags containing any number of red cube(s). The no. of red cubes in each bag can theoretically be any no. between 0 and 20 (both end inclusive) as in total each bag contains 20 cubes of different colors.There are as a whole 10 bags (given).

No. of red cubes           No. of bags           (x_{i}f_{i})

 (x_{i})                                        (f_{i})

    0                                     2                             0

     1                                     0                             0

     2                                    2                             4

     3                                     1                             3

     4                                     1                             4

     5                                     0                            0

     6                                     1                              6

     7                                      2                           14

      8                                     1                             8

      9                                     0                            0

    10                                      0                            0

 Total                                 10                            39

Now, no. of bags containing no. of red cubes  above 10   is  0   [since there are as a whole 10 bags only]

So, from  the table we  get that  mean no, of red cubes in each bag

  = \frac {\sum_{i =1}^{10}x_{i}f_{i}}{\sum_{i=1}^{10}f_{i}}

  =  39/10 = 3.9

Also, from the table, we get that, no. of bags with no. of red cubes ≤ 3

= (2 + 2 + 1) = 5

and, no. of bags with no. of red cubes  ≥ 4

= (1 + 1 + 2 + 1) = 5

Also there are 1 bag each for no. of red cubes = 3 and 4

So. median no. of red cubes = (3 + 4)/2 = 3.5

So, we get that the mean no. of red cubes is more than the median no. of red cubes.

Which scenario could be represented by the given graph?
Alex Ar [27]

Answer:

Choice D

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance increases at a steady rate from time = 0 to time = 1.

Then no progress is made between time  = 1 and time = 2.

Then the distance increases at the same steady rate from time =2 to time = 3.

Finally, no progress is made between time = 3 and the end of the graph.

Eliminate Choices A, B and C immediately, because none of these scenarios involves a stop and wait.

That leaves only Choice D as a reasonable verbal description of what's happening here.

guapka [62]

This question is incomplete, the complete question is;

Find the gradient of the function g(x,y)= xy² at the point (5, - 1). Then sketch the gradient together with the level curve that passes through the point.

First find the gradient vector at (5, - 1).

Vg(5,- 1) = [ ]i - [ ]j (Simplify your answers.)

Choose the graph that shows the level curve and the gradient vector at (5, - 1).

options of the sketched graphs are uploaded along this answers

Answer:

Vg(5,- 1) = [ 1 ]i - [ 10 ]j

Option A is the correct graph for this Level

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that;

g(x,y) = xy²

we have to find gradient of this function at ( 5, -1 )

so

Δg(x,y) = dg/dx + dg/dy

d(g)/dx = y² ,       dg/dy = 2gx

therefore

Δg(x,y) = [y²]i + [2yx]j

Δ( 5, -1) = [-1²]i + [2×-1 ×5]j

=Δ(5, -1) = 1i - 10j

[ 1 ]i - [ 10 ]j

Therefore Option A is the correct graph for this Level
