7. 3.14(12^2 - 10^2)=3.14(144-100) = 3.14(44)=138.16
8. A = piR^2 = 50.24.   R^2 = 50.24/3.14 = 16.   R = 4cm
9a) Perimeter of square is 4*18 = 72.  Perimeter of circle is 2*pi*r.  r=9in
perimeter of circle is then 2*3.14.9 = 56.52.  Difference is 72-56.52 = 15.48
9b) Area of square is 18^2 = 324.
Area of circle is 3.14(9^2) = 254.34.  Difference is the unshaded part
324-254.34 = 69.66in^2

What are the steps used to transform the general form of the equation of a circle to standard form
Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Convert the equation of a circle in general form shown below into standard form. Find the center and radius of the circle. Group the x 's and y 's together. Consider the x2 and x terms only. Complete the square on these terms. Replace the x2 and x terms with a squared bracket.

Prepare a perpetual inventory record, using the FIFO inventory costing method, and determine the company's cost of goods sol
krek1111 [17]

Answer:

The First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory costing method assumes that the inventory items ordered first are the first ones sold.

Step-by-step explanation:

The First-In, First-Out inventory costing method assumes that the inventory items ordered first are the first sold. This is ideal for goods that are highly perishable, for example fresh milk. Since no figures or dates are given, we will assume that the month is March 2019 and use any figures to make the example.

Date Item      Quantity of stock Cost Price

01  Opening stock bought on Feb 28  10   100

05  Sale of 5 goods (cost is $10 each)  (5)   50

15 Purchase of stock (20 goods at $20 each) 20   400

25 Sale of 15 goods                     (15)   250

(5 at $10 each & 10 at $20 each)

31 Closing Stock               10   200

       (20 goods bought on 15th - 10 goods sold on 25th)

The quantity on hand at the end of the month is 10 units.

Total cost of goods on hand at end of the month = 10 units * $20 = 200.

Total cost of goods purchased during the month = $20 * 20 units = $400

Total cost of goods sold during the month = [($10 *5) + ($10 * 5)+ ($20 * 10)] = $200

What is sin 0 when sec 0 = 5? 0 |(1,0) sin e = 2[?] [] Rationalize the denominator if necessary.
Komok [63]

Answer:

Sin ~0 =\frac{2\sqrt{5} }{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

sec0=\sqrt{5}

cos~0=\frac{1}{sec0} =\frac{1}{\sqrt{5} }

sin ~0=\sqrt{1-cos^2~0}

=\sqrt{1-1/5}=\sqrt{5-1/5}

Sin~0=\sqrt{4/5} =2/\sqrt{5}*\sqrt{5}/\sqrt{5}

Sin~0=2\sqrt{5}/2=2\sqrt{5}/5

hope it helps...
