I believe that Antipsychotic drugs have proved helpful in the treatment of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. It acts by inhibiting dopamine, reducing delusions, hallucinations and thought disorganization which are symptoms of psychosis. They may be used to treat severe depression and severe anxiety and also useful in stabilizing episodes of mania in individuals with bipolar disorder.
