I don’t have the supporting passage, but I’ll still give it a go, because I felt the “crying rn i can’t do it”.
A shortage in water might be caused by an increase in population in the future. The Earth’s population is steadily rising due to advanced technology. More people means an increase in the demand for clean drinking water.
