I understand it like this: The US was special in the way that it was a society created "from the scratch", and not by centuries of social negotiation. Also, it was formed by large group of immigrants that had to negotiate their live together and their structures in a very sudden way rather than evolving them from previous structures, as was done in Europe. This was both a challenge and an opportunity: it allowed to not be restricted by the social structures already there (such as nobility), but there was a risk of a "collapse" in that conflicts would arise and the society would not function.

Under which circumstance might you receive a tax refund from the IRS?
SVETLANKA909090 [29]
You receive a tax refund from the IRS if your tax liability is less than the tax you paid for a fiscal year. This means that the tax you owe is less than what you paid for your taxes. Another circumstance is when you are entitled to tax credits.

A high school student acts bored in class and the teacher decides she is a bad student. This teacher discusses the student with
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

Labeling.

Explanation:

As the exercise suggests, the process of labeling involves classifying a student with a label, usually due to their ability, potential, attitude or behaviour. In this case, the student who acts bored (who could act like this because the class itself is boring, not because he is a bad student) is being labeled as a bad student by a teacher. Even though in this case this process ends up being negative, it could happen the other way round: he could participate a lot, have good grades and then he would be classified as a good student.
