We need to use research in our writing so we have precise information about our subject which can fulfill our arguments over the topic with evidence and supporting details. Thinking about our topic from the top of our heads is writing information of what we think about the topic. It is an irrelevant way to research; out-of-date information, and personal diaries. On the other hand, secondary research is more reliable and effective to research; newspaper archives, reports and topic websites; we research our topic on the Internet for sources of information including government sites, company sites to backtrack our research. We must cite our research that is not ours, to not plagiarize; it is unfair to steal authorized information and give credit to yourself, plagiarism is sentenced.
