Explanation:

Mangroves are the only trees that are capable of thriving in salt water. They form unique intertidal forests at the edge of land and sea, see Fig. 1. They are represented on all continents with tropical and subtropical coasts, i.e. North and South America, Africa and Middle-East, Asia and Oceania

Answer:

Mangrove forests thrive near the mouths of large rivers where river deltas provide lots of sediment (sand and mud). Mangrove roots collect sediments and slow the water's flow, helping to protect the coastline and preventing erosion. Over time, the roots can collect enough debris and mud to extend the edge of the coastline further out.

Explanation: The Tempest was a play which was written by William Shakespeare probably during 1601 to 1611. The story about a remote island where a boat reached. The story is about Prospero and his daughter and their two servants Caliban and Ariel.

During the writing of the play there was an interest in the audience about the European colonizers and the natives in many places around the world.

In the play it is shown that Prospero thinks about himself superior than Caliban. He thought he has given education to the Caliban. But Caliban soon realized that Prospero gave him education to take the leadership from and Prospero thinks Caliban as a second class citizen. Soon Caliban became violent and angry with him.

How do I write a rationale responding to a narrative I wrote for english, and linking aspects to a novel we read in class? What
leonid [27]

A rationale is an explanation or a justification of something, so you can write a rationale as to why your characters act the way they do, for instance.

Writing a rationale

A rationale is simply a justification, the reason why you did something the way you did. According to the instructions in the question, you are supposed to write a rationale about a narrative you have written. You are supposed to link that rationale to aspects of a novel you have read, as well. However, you do not mention what your narrative is about or which novel you have read. Thus, the answer below will be a general one in order to help you as much as possible.

You can write a rationale justifying the following topics, for example:

 • Why your characters act the way they do.
 • Why you chose that specific theme for your narrative.
 • Why you chose to end the story the way you did.

You can link that justification to the novel by saying, for instance, that characters' actions in the story or the theme developed by the author seemed intriguing to you, so you wished to explore it some more.

A brief example of a rationale would be the following:

 • As I read "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald, I found it intriguing to see how aware Daisy is of the injustices of this world toward women. She knows it is a man's world, which is why she wishes her daughter to be a fool - fools are happy, no matter how unfair the world is. With that in mind, I wanted to write from the perspective of her grown daughter to explore her own views of society and how she deals with the unfairness that surrounds her.

We can conclude, with the information above in mind, that the explanation provides the necessary information for a rationale to be written.

tatiyna
The poets description of trees, beetles, flowers, pastures, and a sunset affects the tone and conveys the central theme of the poem ''Elegy, written in a country churchyard'' by giving the poem a somber and almost reverently sorrowful tone, it goes with the theme of being written in a''country churchyard'' where there is the dead that has been buried and the feelings the poet must have felt while writing this of deep respect for the nature that surrounded him, tells us that the poet must have experienced loss. i hope this answer helped, although it is only an opinion, i reviewed the poem from ''Cliff notes'' have a great day!

nekit [7.7K]
In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus never has to rethink his position on an issue. He is very level-headed all throughout. In comparison with most of Maycomb’s citizens, he is the only one who is least infected by prejudice. He is not racist as he goes to a black community to deliver news. He also lets his children go to Calpurnia’s church. He doesn’t have problems with the circumstances wherein his children are looked after by a black woman.

Choose the function of the capitalized word in the sentence.
sdas [7]

I believe that 'ONES' in this sentence is a (B) direct object.

this is because 'one's is the subject of the sentence upon which an action is being done. The action is being 'introduced'.
