• First, you have to look at the 6. 6/15 does not form a whole number, so you have to move on to the number beside it. 63/15 is 4 with a remainder of 3.
• Then you bring down the 9 next to the 3. 39/15 = 2 Remainder 9. The 6 is brought down next to the 9. 96/15 = 90  with a remainder of 6.
• We no longer have any more numbers so, we bring down a zero in the the tenth place. 60/15 = 5, with no remainders.

Therefore, 6396/15 = 426.5
