The human body has about 10 bacterial cells for every eukaryotic cell. Bacteria coat our skin, gut, and mouth. Also present are
madreJ [45]

Answer:

can be mutualistic or antagonistic.

Explanation:

According to the given information, the bacterial species Staphylococcus aureus present in some nasal passages and on the skin do not harm the person. The ecological interaction wherein both organisms are benefited and none is harmed is known as mutualism. Here, Staphylococcus aureus does not cause any disease in human when present on the skin and in the nasal passage, that is both are in mutualism.

However, when present in the bloodstream, the same bacterial species can cause infections such as sepsis and represents antagonist effects on the host.

Hence, the staphylococcus aureus species may be mutualistic or antagonistic to human.

The alternation of generations life cycle alternates between haploid and diploid stages. Describe the structures and processes t
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

Alternation of generations (also known as metagenesis) this type of life cycle that occurs in those plants and algae in the Archaeplastida and the Heterokontophyta that will have distinct haploid sexual and diploid asexual stages. A multicellular haploid gametophyte with n chromosomes alternates with a multicellular diploid sporophyte with 2n chromosomes is form in these group, made up of n pairs.

A mature sporophyte will produces haploid spores by meiosis, a process which reduces the number of chromosomes to half, from 2n to n.

In the haploid cell the spores germinate and grow into a haploid gametophyte. At maturity, the gametophyte produces gametes by mitosis, which does not alter the number of chromosomes.

When the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is used to amplify segments of DNA, the sample is first heated, and then cooled, in cyc
baherus [9]

Answer:

At least 17 PCR cycles or 16 PCR cycles

Explanation:

As we know -

In one chain of heating and cooling of polymerase chain reaction (PCR), the strands of DNA gets doubled.

The general mathematical representation of this is

{2^n - (2 * n)}

where "n" is the number of PCR cycles.

It is given that DNA strands to be produced is 16 times the original quantity of DNA.

So the PCR cycle must be carried out at least 17 times in order to have DNA strand not less than 16 times the original quantity of DNA
