Angle ADB is a right angle --- Given

Angle ADB is 90 degrees --- Definition of a Right Angle

Angle CDB is 90 degrees --- Definition of Supplementary Angles

Angle ADB = Angle CDB --- Definition of Congruent Angles

Proofs can be tricky! What helps me is thinking through them step by step and how I would prove I did something. While I'm not entirely sure what options you have for this proof, I've given my best guess.

Hope this helps!! :)

The intensity of a sound varies inversely where of its distance from the source at a distance of 1 meter the intensity of a jet
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

  1/250 W/m² or 0.004 W/m² or 4 mW/m²

Step-by-step explanation:

The cargo worker is (50 m)/(1 m) = 50 times the reference distance. The intensity varies as the inverse of the square of the distance, so will be ...

  (1/50)²×(10 W/m²) = 10/2500 W/m² = 1/250 W/m²

This might be more conveniently written as 4 mW/m².

The volume of a sphere can be described by the following formula, where V = volume and r = radius of the sphere.
Anika [276]

Option C: r = \sqrt[3]{\frac{3V}{4\pi} } is the right answer

Step-by-step explanation:

Given formula for volume of a sphere is:

V = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^3

We have to make r the subject of the formula

Multiplying equation by 3/4

\frac{3}{4}V = \frac{4}{3} * \frac{3}{4} \pi r^3\\\frac{3}{4}V = \pi r^3

Dividing both sides by pi

\frac{3}{4\pi}V =\frac{ \pi r^3}{\pi}\\\frac{3V}{4\pi} = r^3

Taking cube root on both sides

\sqrt[3]{\frac{3V}{4\pi} } = \sqrt[3]{r^3} \\ r = \sqrt[3]{\frac{3V}{4\pi} }

Hence,

Option C: r = \sqrt[3]{\frac{3V}{4\pi} } is the right answer

A rope is tied to the bottom of a hot air balloon as shown below. The rope makes an angle of 35 degrees with the ground distant
Serjik [45]
We have a right triangle. We know the hypotenuse (75 ft) and an angle of 35°. We need to find the opposite leg to the angle of 35° (h). The trigonometric function that relates the opposite leg to an angle with the hypotenuse is sine:
sin 35° = (Opposite leg to 35°) / hypotenuse
sin 35° = h/(75 ft)

Solving for h:
(75 ft) sin 35°=h
h=75 sin 35° ft
h=75 (0.573576436) ft
h=43.01823270 ft
h=43 ft

Answer: T<span>he bottom of the balloon is 43 ft from the ground</span>
