The clouds turned stormy gray.

English

The three sentences have been combined below using the joining word, when:

  • When the clouds turned stormy gray and slowly moved across the sky, I knew it was time to head indoors.

Joining or linking words are used to connect ideas in a group of sentences. Separating sentences can lead to the loss of meanings being conveyed by authors.

Transition and joining words such as because, although, when, therefore, thus, however, make it easier to follow up ideas and to find the connection between them.

In the sentence above, the linking word 'when' was effectively used to merge the three sentences.

Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

This is Shakespeare's Sonnet 45.

In this sonnet, he finds himself in continous fluctuation between joy and sorrow. This is as a result of the absence of the one he loved. His thoughts were always moving to and fro between him and his love.

Actually, this sonnet relates to his previous sonnet. He finds that his thoughts and desires are not so much in himself, as with his beloved (hence present-absent.)

Substances were said to be made up of fire, air, earth and water. But when a substance is deprived of two of them, air and fire, (the other two) which correspond to thought and desire, the body responds and sinks into melancholy and decay.

After montag escapes the city what does montag observe happening
Phoenix [80]

Montag leaves the frightening unreality of the city, which he thinks of as a stage of actors and a séance of ghosts, and enters the world of the countryside, which feels equally unreal to him because of its newness.

Drifting peacefully down the river into darkness, Montag finally experiences the quiet and freedom that he needs to think.

Have a good day ❤
