IF you choose side "A" you defend it and list all the reasons it's correct, and then you list a reason why people would think side "B" is correct and debunk it. Someone who chose to defend side "B" would do the same but in reverse.

I would say does not have a clear right or wrong answer as there would be no point in arguing about which answer is right if the answer was already known. And the others do not seem like requirements in writing argumentative essays.
