Ernst H. Gombrich was widely known as an Austrian-born art historian, who later became a British Citizen. He was popular for writing many art stories, which includes "A Little History of the World": a collection of short stories.
In one of the short stories titled "The Land by the Nile" Ernst Gombrich tell how the history began in 3100 BC in Egypt during the reign of King Menes.
