Salva Dut was fleeing a civil war in South Sudan as a child and spent years walking, looking for a safe place where he could find a home. In those years, he saw friends, also refugees, giving up being killed by the beasts, by the difficult life and by the limitation of essential resources for life. He saw his uncle being murdered in front of him while the fear that he would be the next to have this sad fate almost paralyzed him, but Salva dut was committed to himself and kept walking so he could save himself and help others in similar situations in the future worse.
