9514 1404 393

Answer:

  about 14.34%

Step-by-step explanation:

The percentage change can be found from ...

  % change = ((new value)/(old value) -1) × 100%

  = (132.17/154.30 -1) × 100%

  ≈ (0.8566 -1) × 100%

  = -14.34%

The decrease was about 14.34%.

Let f(x)=x2−3x−4 . What is the average rate of change from x = 7 to x = 10? Enter your answer in the box.
just olya [345]
Rate of change is like slope. Change in y/ change in x
First we have to solve for the y.
x^2 -3x -4 when x = 7
7^2 -3(7)-4= 24 (7,24)
x^2-3x-4 when x=10
10^2-3(10)-4= 66 (10,66)

(66-24)/(10-7)
42/3 = 14

The degree measure of one of two complementary angles is 30 less than twice that of the other. What are the degree measures of t
KatRina [158]
Let n = one of the angles
Let 2n -30 = the other

n+ 2n -30 =90⁰  (because they are complementary)
Combine like terms --     3n -30 = 90
Add 30 to both sides of the equation
3n=120°
 Divide both sides by 3 and n=40°    2n -30 = 80 -30 = 50°
So one angle is 40° and the other is 50° and those angles are complementary.
