Answer:

Acid rain is  a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain. It could cause serious troubles in pollution. Note that acid rain only occurs when near a high power plant do to the high levels of dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air.

Sorry if I miss understood the question or didn't get it right I tried. :)

What is acid rain and how does it form? Acid rain, or acid deposition, is a broad term that includes any form of precipitation with acidic components, such as sulfuric or nitric acid that fall to the ground from the atmosphere in wet or dry forms. This can include rain, snow, fog, hail or even dust that is acidic.

Pollutants like sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide liberated into the air by industries reacts with water vapour in air to form sulphuric acid and nitric acid. These acids come down as rain, called acid rain.

Explain why increasing levels of acid rain affects seed growth: Acid rain decreases the pH of the soil, causing its acidity to increase, which decreases the level of important nutrients found in the soil. This process can negatively affect the nutrition and overall growth of crops.

What are the ways we could eliminate this problem? A great way to reduce acid rain is to produce energy without using fossil fuels. Instead, people can use renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power. Renewable energy sources help reduce acid rain because they produce much less pollution.

Enzymes can lose their shape if they are placed in an environment that is hotter than normal. How does this help explain why a h
Inga [223]

Answer:

Enzymes are temperature specific they do not work under high temperature and they do not work even in a very low temperature.

They are denatured in high temperature as enzymes are proteins in nature. They no longer work under such high temperatures.

During a high fever the temperature of the body rises and and the enzymes in the body loose their original shape and so they do not fit in the substrate and therefore is no longer functional.

The enzymes no longer catalyses the reaction so  high fever is dangerous for the body.

How is tonicity similar to osmotic pressure?
ivann1987 [24]
<span>Tonicity is the measure or amount of the osmotic pressure gradient.
Osmotic pressure is defined as the amount of external pressure that is required to stop the net movement of the solution across the semi permeable membrane. In terms of biology, osmosis has great importance as most of the membranes in our body are semi permeable. Permeability depends on several factors such as charge, solubility, solute size and chemistry. Osmosis is the process that provides the primary means through which water travels in and out of the cells.</span>

List at least two possible reasons for the differences you see between the pinch strength of the first two fingers and the secon
andriy [413]

Answer:

The first two fingers may be stronger due to the fact that they are used the most often and could build up more strength and dexterity. Another reason the first two fingers may be stronger could be due to the fact that the ulnar muscle that controls digits 4 and 5 is smaller than the radial muscle.

Explanation:

Pinch strength is a widely used measurement of hand function. A direct relationship between pinch strength and function has been demonstrated and illustrates the importance of hand strength in clinical practice. There is a difference in grip strength in the dominant and non-dominant hands.Dominant hand  is significantly stronger. According to the pinch strength data, he index finger and the thumb are the strongest, the middle finger and the thumb are the second strongest, the ring finger and the thumb are the third strongest, and the little finger and the thumb are last. The difference is the largest between the middle finger and the thumb and the ring finger and the thumb.

The first two fingers may be stronger due to the fact that they are used the most often and could build up more strength and dexterity. Another reason the first two fingers may be stronger could be due to the fact that the ulnar muscle that controls digits 4 and 5 is smaller than the radial muscle.

Difference in the pinch strength may be due to one possible reason that the radial muscle is larger than the ulnar muscle which controls digits 4 and 5. Another reason could be that you generally use the thumb, index, and middle fingers more than the ring and little finger, therefore the first three fingers have more strength and muscle memory.

How does Pteromyzon differ from scolidon and labeo fishes?
Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

Due to agnathous, no paired fins and scales.

Explanation:

Pteromyzon fish is different from scolidon and labeo fishes because Pteromyzon fish is not a true fish. The main reason for this is that Pteromyzon fish is agnathous means having no jaws and it doesn't have paired fins and scales on their body while all these features are present on the body of  scolidon and labeo fishes so we can conclude from this discussion that Pteromyzon fish is different from scolidon and labeo fishes.
