The correct answer is: "the passage of the intolerable acts".

The intolerable acts were punitive laws enacted by the British parliament to be implemented in the colonies in North America in 1774 after the events that had taken place in the so-called Boston Tea Party. The sanctions were imposed in Massachusetts.

The aim of the British when issuing this coercive legislation was to set back control over the colonies and prevent any rebellion. But the effect was exactly the opposite as they created a widespread feeling of resistance against the colonizers and towards the fight for achieving free will for the Thirteen colonies. In this scenario, in September of 1774, the first Continental Congress was organized to prepare and coordinate forces for the American Revolutionary War.

Delegates of twelve of the Thirteen colonies met in the Congress, including representatives from South Caroline, who were the following: Christopher Gadsden, Thomas Lynch Jr., Henry Middleton, Edward Rutledge and John Rutledge.

Discuss how African American political opinion differs from white public opinion on certain issues.
Alex Ar [27]

Answer:

Indeed, for historical reasons African Americans have a different public and political opinion than whites. People of African descent have historically suffered economic, social, cultural and political discrimination and relegation since the abolition of slavery after the Civil War, generally obtaining less recognition and benefits from the government than the white majority in the country. For this reason, African Americans have evolved in their thinking towards positions of progressive tint, supporting mostly the Democratic Party and the liberal, inclusive and less conservative ideologies.

Which of the following was not a purpose of wartime propaganda?
kirill115 [55]

Answer:

To create public sympathy for wartime opponents.

Explanation:

Wartime propaganda can be defined as ideas, informations, allegations, or facts that are spread deliberately and methodically by a party, so as to demoralize, confuse and further it's cause against the enemy.

This ultimately implies that, wartime propaganda is focused on annihilating the will of an opponent to continue fighting in a war by ensuring that their morale is demoralized and broken down.

Hence, creating public sympathy for wartime opponents was not a purpose of wartime propaganda.
