Ai Weiwei is a Chinese activist who dared to question the political system of China. After he tried to investigate the 'Sichuan Schools Corruption Scandal', he was detained for 81 days under strict supervision, without any charges.

After Ai released from his detention period, he alongwith a group of sculptors began to work on creating an installation to showcase the time of his detention, under strict supervision, to the viewers. Each box consists of 'minute detailed scenes of Ai's detention.'

The installation was named as an acronym SACRED, which is expanded as Supper, Accusers, Cleansing, Ritual, Entropy, and Doubt. The installation is made up of iron with measures of 5x12 feet each. The six dioramas are installed in thhe Church of Saint Antonin, Venice, Italy, in 2013.
