Answer: $ 1934

Explanation:

Total amount of payroll tax expense =

Social security tax withheld+Medicare tax withheld +State and federal unemployment compensation taxes on earnings

=1200+300+( 0.8 + 5.4 )/100 × 7000

= 1500 + ( 6.2 )/100 × 7000

= 1500 + 0.062 × 7000

= 1500 + 434

= $ 1934

A company purchased $9,500 of merchandise on June 15 with terms of 3/10, n/45. On June 20, it returned $475 of that merchandise.
mojhsa [17]

Answer:

The cash paid on June 24  is $8,754.25

Explanation:

The computation of the cash paid is shown below:

= (Merchandise purchase - returned goods) × ( 1 - discount rate)

= ($9,500 - $475) × ( 1 - 0.03%)

= $9,025  × 0.97

= $8,754.25

Since the company paid the amount within the discount period, so it can avail the discount benefit.

We deduct the discount rate from 1 as the percentage value is 100 so that accurate value can come.

For the period from 2019 to 2020, a company reports the following: Percentage change in sales 30% increase Percentage change
timama [110]

Answer:

If sales are $5,000,000 in 2019, the sales in 2020 will be

$6,500,000

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

                                                 2019     2020      Change

Percentage change in sales    100%     130%     30% increase

Percentage change in cost of

  goods sold                             100%    120%     20% increase

Percentage change in

 gross profit                             100%    125%     25% increase

Sales are in 2019 =       $5,000,000   $6,500,000 ($5 million * 130/100)

Alternatively, the 30% increase can be computed, to get $1,500,000 ($5,000,000 * 30%).  This change in sales is then added to the 2019 sales figure to get $6,500,000, which is the sales in 2020.

Mcewan Corporation uses a job-order costing system with a single plantwide predetermined overhead rate based on direct labor-hou
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

$234.24 per unit

Explanation:

The computation of the selling price for Job X941 is shown below:

But before that following calculations need to be determined

The Predetermined overhead rate is

= Variable overhead per DLH + Fixed overhead per DLH

= $2.80 + ($307,200 ÷ 48,000)

= $9.2 per DLH

Now the Total cost of Job X941 is

= Direct materials + Direct labor + Overhead applied

= $600 + $6,400 + (300 × $10)

= $9,760

 And, finally

The Selling price per unit of Job X941 is

= Unit product costs × 120%

= ($9,760 ÷ 50) × 120%

= $234.24 per unit
