Discuss what traits successful law enforcement leaders have. If you had to select one most important characteristic of a law enf
AleksandrR [38]

Answer and Explanation:

A successful leader must be someone who is incorruptible, fair, tolerant and egalitarian, who does his job in a peaceful, correct and progress-promoting way, free from prejudice. The absence of prejudice and the ability to act in a peaceful manner are the main characteristics that a police leader must present. This is because a police leader who has these characteristics serves as an example to other police officers, who can shape their work and behavior to be less violent professionals and who judge people correctly, without considering racism and prejudice.

Within a department, corruption is the most harmful characteristic among legal professionals. This corruption takes away from the sense of fairness that is so essential within a police department. An example of this can be seen in corrupt police officers who facilitate illegal activities of powerful people, but fight and destroy black families and other social minorities based only on prejudice.

Is there a statute of limitations on taxes
kirza4 [7]

Answer:

Usually the IRS has ten years to collect money you owe.

Fortunately, the answer is usually "no." As a general rule, there is a ten year statute of limitations on IRS collections. This means that the IRS can attempt to collect your unpaid taxes for up to ten years from the date they were assessed.

the supreme court case new jersey v TLO questioned the right students had in public schools. tlo was a new jersey high school st
Oksanka [162]
The SCOTUS did not rule that T.L.O’s 4th amendment (searches and seizures) rights had been violated. They ruled that the school administrations search of the bag was reasonable under the circumstances (i.e T.L.O. Being a minor and on school property, meaning that while at school, administration is responsible for the well-being and safety of all students, thus allowing them to search T.L.O’s bag for marijuana). A good way to think of it is that while you’re at school, the administration acts as your parents. Your parents don’t need a warrant to search through your room and neither does the administration if you are on school property. The 4th amendment applies to this case because it protects against unlawful searches and seizures (i.e. searches and seizures that are without a warrant). The constitutional question was whether or not T.L.O. Could be charged with a crime/punished or not because the school administration did not have a warrant. However, because the school administration was acting as a loco parentis (latin term for “in place of the parent”) they did not need a warrant to search her bag. Hope this helped!
